Based in Manlius, A Best Radon Systems is one of New York’s only full-time, dedicated radon specialist companies. We serve the entire Central New York and Greater Syracuse region with a singular focus: keeping your indoor air safe.
Our roots trace back to a 20-year career in the New York home inspection industry. After inspecting thousands of homes, we discovered a troubling trend: over 50% had elevated radon levels, and nearly one-third of the existing mitigation systems we tested were failing to meet EPA action levels.
These failures were often the result of improper materials, underpowered fans, and a lack of final safety testing. Homeowners were left with a false sense of security by installers who were often unreachable or went out of business—leaving behind "orphan" systems with no warranty or accountability.
To address this critical gap in safety and performance, A Best Radon Systems was established in 2007. What began as a specialized repair and problem-solving firm has grown into one of Central New York’s only full-time radon mitigation companies.
Since 2007, we have installed over 800 successful mitigation systems, precision-engineered with over 25 years of specialized industry experience. Our custom-designed systems utilize premium components and are fully guaranteed to reduce average radon below the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L. In fact, most of our systems consistently outperform the industry average, bringing levels below 2 pCi/L and sometimes as low as zero.
Because many homeowners want their radon levels as close to zero as possible, about one-third of our daily work is dedicated to servicing systems installed by other companies. We perform comprehensive performance testing to evaluate, repair, and upgrade failed, underpowered, or inefficient setups. Whether your original installer is no longer in business, your system lacks a warranty, or you simply want a second opinion to improve your current system's performance, we provide the technical expertise and rigorous testing required to ensure your home is truly safe.
Our experienced team is committed to providing reliable radon testing, professional mitigation, and dependable service to help keep your home and family safe.
